Just a heads up to NYC denizens: I'll be performing the computer part to Roger Reynolds' Positings (2013) with Ensemble Signal at Columbia University's Miller Theatre on Saturday night. The event is Roger's portrait concert, which will also feature Irvine Arditti, playing both Kokoro and the violin concerto Aspiration. Rehearsals have been quite wonderful so far this week with the ensemble.
Jim Chute put out a local notice in the Union Tribune, in San Diego, which you can read here. "Columbia University’s Miller Theatre, one of New York’s principal centers of new music, is not exactly UC San Diego east, but it has been uncommonly hospitable to San Diego musicians." Particularly this season, with no less than four events featuring UCSD faculty and former students.
