Light: Frozen and Refracted will be premiered today, at 8:30 pm, at Le Centquatre in Paris, if you happen to be around. Ensemble Intercontemporain is crushing the piece (in a good way), and they have been fun to work with (they are kind of sassy, but it is pretty amusing). I've learned an incredible amount from the faculty composers and especially from the other student composers in the workshops - it was been eye-opening (or ear-opening?). Lots of new ideas for music, but no time to do it.
